Jim, that's just a beautiful tiger striped obdisian point, and that almost flint colored obdisian point is real nice too. Is the knife obsidian? How thick is it? Cutting edge on both sides? Sure looks good with that osage handle. Great knapping on all three.     :clapper:

Thank you all. The knife is about 1/4" thick and the blade is about 5 1/2" long and double edged. The handle fits the hand very well.

These were from preforms so they are MUCH easier to produce than from a plain pice of stone. These are aprox. 3/16 to 1/4 thick.

I try to taper the ends fairly early so when I get close to finishing the head they are not overly thick. Too thick in the base and they are hard to mount on a shaft. The tip looks better and is stronger I believe if it is lens shaped.
