I was just out shooting in the backyard when the neighbor kids came out.  I was keeping a close eye on them to make sure they were no where even close to where I was shooting.  They were going "oh yeah, he got one in the center" and "BAM! another one in the middle"  Granted I wasn't shooting very great (like 4-6" circles at 20 yards) but they were still pumped.  Now I just need to talk to the parents and see if they would be interested in getting their boys a bow to share (age 4, 7, and 9 I believe.)

Makes shooting all the more fun when others are even more excited then you are!

give it a whirl.but don't push if they resist.Sometimes you should get the kids to ask they can break the ice.

Yeah I had a youngster that was interested as well, but my wasn't so much. Figure I will just let some time go by and talk with her again.

If my neighbors are outside when the boys and I go out to shoot, they quickly pack what they are doing and go inside.  Mind you, they are nowhere even close to being in danger, they just don't want their kids having fun.  They have nothing for them to do outside, and the only time I see them is when they get into or out of the family car.  Their boys are 15 and 12.  It's very sad for them.

If your neighbor kids are pumped up, I would deffinatly talk to the parents about it, if it were me.

awww thats cute!!! i think my neighbors would run and hide too! i live in a town were "fire arms" are 50% loved and 50% hated... im pretty sure im smack dab in the middle of the haters. except for when the neighbor lady is frightened.
For the Fun of it!

I am pretty sure the neighbors wouldn't care if there kids were to shoot, probably just want me to be cautious (kind of an obvious)

I stopped by a garage sale happened to see a (cough cough) compound bow for sale, talk turned to bow and arrow making, I ended up staying for about three hours, and  I shot with the seven year old son, while mom and dad watched, She even brought all the old veggies out of the fridge to shoot. We were shooting stick bows....(just for clarification)
