I am curious to know if any of you use limb covers. If you do, what kind are best and where can I get them? I am worried about damaging my bows lamination, so I don't want to use tape.

The best limb covers I had where made by my mom back in the 80's. She got some camo cloth somewhere and just sowed them in a real tight sleeve. worked great!

I've got limbs skins.  I feel like its a hunting machine when they are on.  Think I got them from 3rivers.

limb skins get my vote as well!

I'm gonna have to find something to cover the two vintage bows that I want to hunt with this fall.

Can anyone tell me if the limb skins when they get wet cause any problems with the finish on the bows ???

Also.......how do they attach to the bow and limbs ???

I have a set of the LimbSkins from ABS for my longbow.
They are like a tight spandex material that simply slips over the bow limb after unstringing it. They just stay put. I had mine on a 3 piece longbow, so they just kind of bunched up on the limb slightly.
I could not tell any difference in performance. They offer protection, as well as camouflage, if your limb woods are not naturally so.

I can not speak to adverse problems with the finish as I never had them soaking wet. They are very easy to remove and put back on, so if they did get wet, they could be removed and dried easily.

Old panty hose streached over the limbs and taped in place. Use markers to break up solid pattern. Use the marker before putting on limbs to keep marker from bleeding through and on limbs.

I have Limbskins too. Very nice and are great for eliminating noise when stalking through brush.

Don the limb skins dont hold hardly any water.If they get wet a little after a hunt I simply soak up the moisture with a paper towel squeezed into the limb skins.Then push them up the limb and dry the limbs.The limb skins will be pefectly dry in  no time.They dont pick up burrs etc very easily either.If they do their easy to remove anyway.

As far as using a strap on quiver with limb skins?A quiver will have a tendancy to slide or migrate a bit easier.You can cut the limb skins and put some below the quiver if you wish.Then put the quiver on the bare limb and more limb skins above that.

I have found the longbow limb skins will fit a recurve limb very tightly.So I uually just get the longbow limb skins and use em on curves and longbows.They will also fit a narrow limb recurve very well.

Its a great product and also protects the finish very well from scratches and abrasions.They add very little weight to the limb.Thier featherlight!Put one on that fabulous Snakebit Don and have fun!I have been using them for many years.The snakeskin ones are nice actually.

I use a slide on selway quiver!  I just cut them down.  I put 5-6" pieces on 1st for the section closest to the handle.  Then put the quiver on. And finally the longest sections to cover the limbs.

If mine get wet! I take them off and let dry overnight.  I don't like the moisture to sit against the limbs.  

I do think the will protect from the daily use/scratches from hunting.  

I sometimes think of the beauty of the bow is being hidden.  But, then I thick about all the scratches that can be prevented and it is defenitly worth it.

I wish I could find some limb skins in ASAT!!!   If anyone knows of some let me know.
