Hello guys, my one question on the M1950 lightweight tent; what is the procedure for securing the sides when you need more ventilation?  The flaps can be rolled, but are there ties to keep them this way?  Also, what product do you recommend for the cotton exterior for water proofness?  I used it on the early elk season in downpour WA and loved it.  Thanks for your time.

Got any pictures?

I'd love to see your tent.

Thanks in advance!

Here you go, Mudd!  Easily the nicest rain tent I've owned.  I can pack (4) elk hunters in there with ALL their gear in summer or winter.  Simple cotton, but leaks only in a few small places where I put my finger    :D    .  Nothing like American GI 50's era craftsmanship as well...

I used to roll up the sides a little and tie off to the tention lines.

I know they sell products like Canvac; but canvas does not need any waterproofing, the fibers simply expand to seal out the rain.
