Well, I don't buy alot of new stuff, so this does not include my bow or arrows.  If you want to spread that cost out it would be a Robertson Primal Styk, some stitka spruce shafts from the feathered shaft and some Ace super express heads. totaling about $650

Same treestands for years-$0

Never write it down. If I did my wife would know and a man doesn't need that   :scared:

Except for out-of-state hunts every few years, my hunting costs are basically a wash.  I've done the math and the 150-200 pounds of meat I get every year costs me about $3 a pound.  I can't count on getting anything store bought except chicken or burger for that.

I have a lifetime license that paid for itself 4 years ago and I make or trade almost everything I use.  I did buy a leafy suit and some broadheads on sale this year.  Thankfully I have a couple real good private places to hunt that are owned by friends or family so I don't have to resort to leasing.  Almost all my costs are gas money.  I am very blessed and thankful.

My out-of-state hunts are paid for out of extra money I earn selling wood or bow blanks.
Take a kid hunting!

This is a perfect example of why we shouldn't repeal "Don't ask don't tell!"

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Texas Hunting License = $25.00
Gas = depends on where I'm going - $65.00/$325.00
Archery Equipment (string, shafts, feathers, Broadheads) = $100.00+/-
Food = depends on where I'm going - $50.00 for a week

Bowhunting, Rifle Hunting, Muzzleloader Season? Which State, which license?

Keeps me sane the rest of the year. Charge it to Medical expense.

More than I should is the answers. Don't ask, don't tell. LOL

More than I should, less than I would if I had other vices.

I was curious about this myself. Arizona is a little more expensive than other states even for in state but i did figure it out. With my tag, license, fuel and food for the hunt, processing fees, the bull elk I shot this year will cost me about 3.50 a pound. Now it was a large bodied bull but still not too bad considering the quality of the meat and the fun I had. That is the beauty of archery hunting, it does not have to be overly expensive.

Mr.Magoo

$55 for an all inclusive hunting/fishing license and I spent about $20 for a pack of broadheads.

I've averaged 1 deer a year over the last few years.

Golf is a completely different story ...

Eugene Slagle

Hunt Club = $150.00
License & tags = $54.00 + fishing license
Gear = $100.00

I normally take 1 - 3 Deer a year on average.

Not much anymore, unless I buy a new bow. I did buy 1/2 dozen carbons this year,  and a new glove.
