Mudd

I got my 1st blood of the season this morning and the 1st with my "new-to-me" Sheldon 66" 45@28.

I was headed out to shoot a little with some broadheads to see how the Sheldon like these but before shooting I wanted to remove an arrow I had shot earlier. It was one of my pink arrows with the RFA Talon tips.

Just as I got to the backstop Zoe(1 of my Mtn. Curs) starts barking and looking toward the pines. The squirrel wasn't in the pines but in the tree on the backside of them. So I land down my broadhead arrows, pulled the the Talon from the target and quickly drew on the squirrel as it hesitated for a moment. It dropped like a rock...wohoo!

1st blood this season, 1st with the RFA Talon, and 1st with the Sheldon!!

God bless,Mudd

Great!  Small game hunting is so much fin that if I didn't like lots of venison in my freezer all I would do is hunt small game.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

That's some fine shootin'!
