Wait till they are shooting YOUR bow, using YOUR arrows, wearing YOUR boots, using YOUR tab, wearing YOUR socks, after eating all YOUR food...

It`s then you can look back and smile, knowing you done good!

We can give our kids stuff but...... it is not stuff they will remember.... it is the time their father spent with them ! When we give our time we have given them the greatest gift. Cannot wait to watch them fellers grow up on the gang here like Cade, Skyler,Mason and all the others are doing.

I took a 3/4" diameter stick that was 2 feet long, and stuck it in the ground in front of the target and told both of the boys whoever could hit that stick 2 times out of 3 arrows from 7 yards, I will take them deer hunting.  A good friend and member on here, Glennbob, was over shooting with us, and we just sat back and watched as my oldest hit the stick not twice, but 3 times in a row.  Man I felt my chest puff up big at that moment.  He will be joining me during the upcoming opening weekend in 7 more days.  As for this weekend, I'm taking my oldest on the annual Squirrel Hunt the Michigan Longbow Association puts on, then Sunday will find the 3 of us along with Glennbob, in the woods for rabbits/squirrels/stumps/nature hike.  I love this time of year.

My son has two boys about the same ages who are being brought up with bows in their hands, just like yours.  What a pleasure to watch their enthusiasm and skills develop!

The competition between them is what is fun to watch.  My oldest, Nick, actually shot his brothers arrow in half this week, and it really ticked Luke off.  I had to break that one up, but it was still fun to see evolve.
