Well this started about a month ago when I started looking for some new woods to use. I wanted some AMERICAN EXOTICS That I have seen used in other applications. After finding what I was looking for, things kept coming up and one phone call led to another email and so on. The next thing I know I am loading a big stack-o-wood into my rig and driving home, all the while thinking of what kind of hoops I will need to jump through to get said stack into my ever shinking shop. Well after I found a resting place for my new wood, I started to get excited about building a new bow out of some of it. I just could not decide what I wanted to use first, so I used as many different types as I could, and called my new creation "Pure Michigan" as all of the woods are cut and milled in our great state. In fact, all of the wood in this bow came from the same mill with the exception of the osage used for the I-beam, I cut that not far from my house a couple of years ago. I will share some pictures and ask for your input and fedback. Overall I am diggin it.
Riser: Spalted American Ash with Osage I-Beam.
Core: American Hard Rock Maple.
Back veneer: American Black Ash.
Belly veneer: Spalted American Hard Maple.
I will be adding a Black leather gripAfter my finish cures out fully.
Thanks for looking.Sorry for the blurry pics.

Well done on the I-beam too.  I-beams are not my thing as you know, but I like the way this one turned out.

Could it look any more awesome?

I mean how cool is this one? Way!!! I'd say....

I'd say that would be a tall order to fill if someone wanted a prettier bow.

Thank you for showcasing your talent for us.

God bless,Mudd

PS: I would worry too much about your shop. A clean organized shop is the sign of a sick mind.

I keep telling my wife that all the time...lol Now she just doesn't come in any more...

NICE! Being a native Michigander and living here in Buckeye land I love to see the Pure Michigan!  I really like that bow.

Although, one does have to admit when it actually comes to using a bow, SE Ohio is second to nothing in Michigan.
