its a little late to ask i suppose i already put it on it seems to work good i trimmed it down short and faced it the way the hair and the arrow flow with eachother, jsut wanted to see what every one thought, also used some wool for silensers i love them feels good when you can say you made instead of buying it!

I'm sure it will be fine. I prefer beaver as a rug rest, but that is just personal choice. You will find along the way, that many things can be used for other purposes then what you might think.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Deer hair being brittle makes it less than the perfect rest material. It will probably wear out pretty quickly. Then again maybe not.

As long as it works and you like it all is good.

I dont think after a little use it would be very quiet on the draw. But if its not on a hunting bow who cares, probably protect your rest/riser just fine.
