im curious about the type of bow quivers that slide on to the limbs or strap on. how do they not impede limb performance? how do they not slow down the limb rebound and affect arrow speed, accuracy, etc?

im just curious about the science in the engineering. never used one before, thinking of buying one, just need to be re-assured there is no negative trade off

From what I understand, a strap or slide on bow quiver is placed on the riser, above the "fade-out" of the bottom limb and below the fade out of the top limb. No where on the "working" part of the limbs. Someone should post a picture soon.

They need to attach all the way down on the riser, not into the fadeouts.

i have seen pictures of them on bows but not close up. a crystal clear "here" and "not here" sort of thing would be awesome. because i can mess up cereal if it isnt spelled out for me  

Take a look at your riser. At each end, it tapers to nothing. That is what is called the fade out. Try to have your straps inbetween the end of the fade out and your grip. That is for both top and bottom. Shouldn't be a problem.

I use a Selway slide on quiver on several of my bows, I have used them for years, they work by far the best for me. I slide them all the way down the limbs until they contact the riser and they do not affect the limbs in anyway. I do have a pretty good pic of them on one of my bows, but for the life of me I cannot figure out where to click on this site to be able to attach pics. I am not completly computer illiterate as I do have a website and post pics there and on alot of other sites all the time. Can someone tell me where to click in order to post attachments? Thanks.
