I just fletched up some brand new CX250's.After just a few shots I robin hooded one.I was hacked. At least I was able to salvage the fletching.I slowly peeled them off the shaft and then peeled the tape off the quill.

The tape is great. For you guys that don't tie flies. The tape works great for fur tracers. Good shooting onemore. Hate busting arrows though.

Ever notice you only robin hood the NEW fancy arrows you worked on all weekend. Never the old practise arrows that the finish and fletching is worn out!

Coonbait, that's a good point.
I had a brand new set of arrows at the range for their first outing and hit the nock on one with another arrow. Ended up breaking a side off the nock along with the wood beneath it.
I very carefully removed the remainder of the nock and using a new nock with mold release in it I molded epoxy to replace/fix the wood. Once it was all cured I popped off the mold nock, glued on a new nock, and took the arrows back to the range for their second outing.
Hit that same arrow again and this time split it from nock to about halfway down the shaft.
Damn it.

Tie two birds together; though they have four wings, they can not fly.

I reuse glued on fletching all the time...just run it on the belt sander and clean them up.I love fletch tape too though, makes reuse a little easier.

If you warm the arrow up (heat gun) carefully, you can remove the tape from the arrow shaft very easily, if you are quick, you can strip the tape from the feather fairly easily, too.
