Just finished this Osage Selfbow this morning. Its 55" ... 60#@28" Deer Rawhide backing (my first with raw hide). A real sweet shooter ..Look and it hits !!!! It has a Elk Hide handle wrap.. Small shelf cut. Thanks for looking ... Jeff

That is a beauty for sure.  Shopping around for my first stave as I type this.  Can hardly wait to get to making shavings.  It'll be my first attempt.  I'm fortunate enough to have met a fellow ganger at work who has a lot of experience with osage selfbow making.  :bigsmyl:

House ... go for it. Take it slow ...and never when working belly down to get draw lenth and weight "PULL" over your "final" draw weight at any point(KEEP CHECKING). It you stick to this you'll get a working bow out of any stave. Good luck !! Jeff

Cool Jeff! It looks like this one turned out nice but a real man's "man bow"...lol 60# sure puts it out of my range.

Selfbows are just so stinking cool and quiet.

Is this the one you told me you were starting soon?

Thanks for sharing with us.

Steve ...Message me with your draw lenth and poundage. Include your address. One might just show up at your door too someday. If I sold them ..the fun would be taken out of it.
