This spring at the Atlanta Blade Show, I had the pleasure of being a house guest at JC & Miss Kim's farm.  The Georgia Traditional Spring Bowshoot was the week before at the farm and the targets were still in place.  Being a gracious host JC took me on tour of the farm and just  so happened to walk through the course  :goldtooth:

I hadn't brought a bow so JC took some weight off his Morrison ILF for me to shoot.  Well since then I've had my eyes peeled looking for  just such a set up.  This week that became a reality with a Morrison mini 14 riser from Bob Walker via Danny and a set of Morrison C limbs 49#@28 plus some real nice looking skins from wmcclendon.

Some of you might know I have a couple of bows but this is my first try with the ILF set up...it is fantastic!  Doc

Glad you got the limbs and are happy with them.  They sure smoke an arrow, don't they.  And sure look good doing it!

Doc, I was glad to read your post about the ILF bows.  They keep popping up inbetween my ears but have been reluctant to make the plunge.  You seem to shoot everything on both ends of the spectrum.  Good for you.

I'm lovin me some ILF. I've got a morrison mini riser. With xxl dryad epic limbs this combo makes a 62" bow.And a set of greatree long recurve limbs that make a 58" bow.You gotta love it.Jim Preece

I never got to see the water snake limbs...sounds neat.  I don't mind playin' second fiddle with this riser...Heck I usually just spray paint my huntin' bows anyway.  Guess I won't spray paint these copperheads though

It is a fun bow to shoot especially as I love short bows...56" bow.  I can easily drop 4-5 pounds...nice on an old shoulder...Doc

Jeff,

I have the same set up with the Mini 14 riser and "C" foam/carbon longbow limbs. It is a fantastic bow alright!!

Very nice looking bow.I have shot a couple of ILF type recurves and found them very noisy and not real smooth at the shot. Can that be a prob with this type of system or did I just shoot a couple of bad examples?I have a Martin Jag I want to convert to ILF but love a quiet smooth bow.

Kim, I think you will find the wood risers much quieter than the metal. And foam and glass are about the smoothest limbs I have shot. You may want to convert a wood riser instead of the metal.

Auzoutdoor,
Even though I have recurves, I don't hunt them.
Plus I've only shot the Morrison ILF carbon/foam longbow limbs...but they are really quiet for me.

Now you have to take that with a grain of salt cause I don't hear well  :)   But I do hear my bow noise more than most people...seems being close to the arrow, it amplifies sound in my ear.

Smoothness and hand shock aren't even a question on my Morrison IFL.  I have Cheyennes & Shawnees too.  This IFL is the best of the bunch.  My Cheyennes will be up for sale soon as again I don't hunt recurves along with a set of Shawnee Arapaho recurve limbs    ;)  Doc

I am a new ILF fan.Morrison that is.I only wish one thing.I could have one each of every Morrison A or B limb made of my ILF.I just enjoy the whole idea behind these.Like I have mentioned before in ealier threads, carbon foam A LB limbs are the thing for me.Short draw city for me.I thought having a short draw with others I've shot would hinder me,with Bob's I am actually happy to have a short draw again. Thanks bob for showing me the light..  :notworthy:
