I made this the other day. I have always made hemp braided ones but my girlfriend gave me this idea. Keep in mind its not to wear out to dinner or the movie mostly while hunting or around camp and to hang on its peg and look neat.

Awesome,i don't see anything distasteful about wearing it in public.I have wore my bear claw necklace for five years in public along with my medicine pouch. I wouldn't worry about wearing it to a funeral,wedding, out for supper,or to a job interview. It's who you are, and there is alot worse ones hanging around people necks now a days.
