I just picked up a new (to me) bow - a Bear Kodiak Hunter s/n KT19297, AMO 60", 60#. It has white nock overlays on the glass back, but are they fastflight capable? Any of you Bear knowlegable types able to give me a hand here? Or could I go to a fast flight with extra B-50 padding on the loops?

They are not made for fast flight. Some people do it anyway on older bows and some get away with it on them, some don't.You decide.

Thanks. I think I just did!

I'd have to say,the majority of people wouldn't and with that hefty a weight bow,you don't need 5 extra FPS.Fast flight strings sometimes decrease hand shock but those Kodiak Hunters are pretty smooth bows.If it were mine,I would get a b-50 string and establish a good brace height where it was most quiet and enjoy a great bow-for a long time.Brace height is probably in the neighborhood of 8",string to low throat of grip.

Nice bow.

I'm certainly gonna go with the consensus here. The bow came with an endless loop string, but obviously not the correct one. Yes, I have a proper bow stringer, but couldn't get the loop to the notch. Took it over to a buddy who stands 6'2" and asked him to give me a hand. Got it strung, but with a 10 inch brace height. Have a B-50 Flemish twist string of the correct length due any day now and look forward to trying it out.
