I didn't think a CE350 would actually fly ...

I picked-up a dozen CE Heritage 350's last year to fool around with, but figured they'd be too stiff for any of my set-ups.

Well at (30") with a 280gr head from my 55@28 Robertson recurve, they're flying great.  And at ~680gr., it's hitting the target with a solid thump.

Time to make-up a few more for opening day.

Thats right my friend! Out of my setups listed below, I'm using the 350's with a 260 tip, and a 100 gr brass insert. Total arrow weight of 745...They hit hard.

You best carry a hammer & chisel with you
after your 350 passes through Mr. Buck and into
that oak tree....cool

That sounds like a setup that will take down anything on this continent for sure.
Good luck on the year.
No matter where you go; There you are.......

Oak trees aren't any match for 350's.  Put a single bevel on the end and you got yourself a splitting wedge.     :goldtooth:

Seriously though, 350s are awesome.  Good luck with your set-up.

I'm running a 700 gr setup this year from my PLX, GT Trads and a 100 grain brass insert plus 145gr eclipse. Gonna be strong for sure. I have to remember to start aiming a bit higher with these!

There is almost no such thing as an arrow that is too stiff for a recurve, centre-cut.

Yup. True.

And if you use Stu's calculator, your setup ends up on the weak side too.

It is difficult to find stiff carbon arrows if you are interested in loading things up-front.

Goldtip does make a "Big Game 100", 0.250" ASTM, 126# old AMO, 0.308" O.D., just under a 20/64" sized aluminium, 10.1 gpi. Seems that shaft could take a LOT of front loading.
