Do you gents and gals use the same set up for all your different animals that you hunt in all the different states.
I ask due to moving down south, and being able to hunt a vast variety of different critters. Full grown deer, bear, pigs, gator, and who knows what else.
And what would the poundage and arrow weight be that you use.And is there a suggested weight(arrow) for specific animals.

I use the same setup for everything i bend a string on.  It is either my Mystical 67#@28" or my Primal Styk 53#@28".  I draw about 28.5.  I like to get about 550gr out of my arrows, but as long as they shoot straigt I am good.  I have killed almost all the critters available down here that you mentioned (the only gator I have shot is foam...) and these two bows work great.

As for the poundage I shoot, it is strictly preference.  I have some friends that shoot low 40s with no problems what so ever.

Hope that helps some.

Same set up for everything from back yard shooting, 3D shooting and hunting.  Use the same arrows hunting as I do for practice, just screw in a broadhear, because I know they shoot well from my bow.

A moderate heavy arrow gets it done... Everytime!

All my bows are in the mid 50 pound range at my draw shooting 500 or more grain arrows.

I shoot bows that are 50-55 # at my draw length.I use to use heavier bows(60-66#) and 9-10 grs per # arrows. The last 2 years and after 45 years at this,I have been working with heavier arrows,709-715 grs.I probably won't go back.I'm getting better performance from the 50-55 # bows now.

Ragnarok Forge

Same set up for everything.  No adjusting my aim point.  Just look at the spot I want to hit and send the arrow home.

I prefer bows in the 50 to 55 lb. range.  I had a 60 pounder, and even though I do hard labor everyday for work, it is difficult for me to shoot one well.  My main bow is 53lbs., and it works out great on the Illinois whitetails I hunt.  Normally use a 530 to 600 grain arrow.  I shot this bow in Africa last summer (winter in Africa) and had excellent results.  I did use a heavier shaft though.  Right now I am shooting a 46lb. Habu viperkhan with 530 grain arrows and I am shooting it so well that I fully intend to hunt deer with it this fall.

Mitch-In-NJ

I have been using the same setup, a Stewart Slammer r/d 55# @ 28" and about 59# at my draw with 2216s and 125gr Stingers.

Recently bought a lighter bow (43# @ 28" and 47# at my draw).  I plan to use this for bowfishing, frogging and maybe for squirrels and other small game.  It's a real pleasure to shoot such a light weight.  Not that the 55# bow is too much, but shooting 12# less... makes me feel like Superman.  I can shoot 200 arrows and not be tired with that thing.
