Orion

I agree with La bowhunter. I always have my binoculars around my neck.

In Jersey our deer are so small we carry magnifying glasses.        I think terrain would dictate if it has poor distance visibility then why bother.

Down here in the GA pine thickets where I hunt the deer are generally on top of me before I ever know they are their. I just wear my bifocals

It's mid-size binos for me. Wouldn't hunt without them.

Compact Nikon binos, nothing too serious for the area I hunt just enough to get a better look at those distant deer.  Sometimes its just nice to see whats in the area even if it doesnt come within bow range.
Hunt fair, hunt hard, no regrets.

AZ_Shooter

I always carry a pair of binoculars (7x35), but when I am hunting coues deer I will also take along a spotting scope...both are Nikons.

Brian Krebs

I always carry binoculars 10x50.

I found when I took binoculars I did not use them enough to justify the hassle. I now carry a Minox rectangular monocular. Small enough to fit in your shirt pocket and made into a robust steel box. Light and handy.

8x32 Nikon Monarchs for me I would feel naked without them when I'm hunting.

Although I like to watch animals, I cannot shoot them at 120 yards so therefore the Binos usually stay at home.

It would be different in big country spot and stalk hunting but in he NE and ambush hunting, they are just another thing to carry!

Order of importance - bow #1, Bushnell Custom Compact bino's #2.  I use them constantly regardless of game hunted.  In the midwest for whitetails the majority of my glassing is 50 yards and under.  Can really pick out an ear or tail with the binos.

Those Bushnell Custom Compacts are an awesome little glass.

I use my bino's a lot. I did take the plunge and got the smallest, "Full Size" bino's I could find, Leica 8x32HD ultravids, they are much much nicer than "pocket" bino's but I do not notice them at all when carried. No, not as nice an image for glassing as the 8x42 but those I noticed when carring them. I did use the swarovski 8x30 SLC which I also liked a lot but the Leica's are smaller with better image, (though for the money the Swarovki's are probably a much better buy)

8 X 30 Leupold Wind River binocs.  I never hit the woods without them.

They are particularly usefull in the thick stuff I hunt around here.  I can change the focus and see right thru brush to what is behind or in it.  If I think I see an animal or part of one I can confirm it with a quick check.
