Greg,I had one about 10 years ago and in my haste and stupidity traded it ,THE biggest mistake I've ever made.It shot unreal, workmanship was fantastic. If you have a chance at one grab it!

Exceptional recurve. If you can find one, buy it.

Ric Anderson builds a 66" recurve based on the Eatmon design.  He obtained permission from the Eatmon family to use the design.  Ric builds a great bow.  Ric calls his 66" Recurve the East Wind.  Below is a link to a pic of one of the first East Wind recurves that Ric built.

Click on the thumbnail pic and it will take you to a full size pic of the bow.

Anyone have an a picture of an actual Eatmon 66?

The one Ric Anderson is making doesn't look like any Eatmon 66 I remember seeing back in the early 1990's.

Hi everyone.  I was recently informed of this thread and thought that I'd take a moment to respond.  Kelly is correct in that the picture he saw has a riser shape similar to both my takedown and one piece recurves and doesn't have an Eastmon style grip.  However the bow was made with Del's lamination combinations on a Eatmon 66 form that I required several years ago, so the shooting characteristics are be very similar.

Del Eatmon designed and built a fabulous bow, both in its quality of construction as well as in regards to performance.

I would like to echo GregD's request for pictures of Eatmon 66's for my files. If any does have pictures that they are willing to share they could email them to me at the following address: bowmaker@cyberport.net

Thanks in advance.

Ric
