I tried 3 bows that came in the mail today.

This is what I learned so far, all three bows were shot at 30 yards.

the 1st one is a Howard Hill Cheetah 66" and 56@28

Here is the bow and the 1st 12 arrows down range.

Then I shot the 58" 50@28 Super Shrew. I didn't take any pictures of the 1st 12 arrows. It was too embarrassing. I ignored the nocking point for the next 12 arrows and here they are.

The last bow I shot was a 64" 50@28 Bear Montana that also came in today's mail.  Here they are.

I am going back out after while and shoot the SS with a set nocking point and with the brace height changed considerably. I'll take more pictures and see if things end up better, the same or worse.

Thanks for looking.

God bless,Mudd

Yup, Your real blessed, Mudd.  That is some pretty good shooting for bows that you are not used to.  :clapper:

I went back and shot the Shrew with the adjusted brace height and different nocking point and the results were better but not anywhere near what I wanted them to be.

It was like I was shooting 2 or 3 different bows when I looked at the arrows in the target. I had several different groups, all out of one bow and all shot at the same time. Go figure?

I'm thinking it has to be the style of grip. It feels more like I'm holding a recurve and I'm almost positive I'm gripping it as if it were.

I had some trouble with my camera. I assume it was caused by going from cool to absolutely a blast furnace outside. All of the pictures of the Shrew arrows in the target didn't turn out so that anything could really be seen.

OH well, on to the next bow...

Here are the next quiver full out of the Cheetah.

At 30 yards.. no complaints out of me.

It was so hot and the Montana did so well on it's 1st outing I decided to forgo it this time.

Thanks for putting up with me.

God bless,Mudd

PS: Maybe when I've cooled off some and it's cooler outside I'll give the Shrew one more chance. I don't know that it'll help any if it's me and I have to admit that I think it is.

Mudd, it looks like you are shooting the same 12 arrows out of the bows, I am sure the spine cannot be good on all the bows and at 30 yards that will make a huge difference. Shoot them at 10 yards and spine will not matter as much for grouping purposes. Shawn

Mudd I cannot see the photos?? Is it just me??
Three bows in one day......Gosh.

Mudd

2 of the bows are the same draw weight and the 3rd is only 6 lbs heavier.

One of the 50 lbers(the Montana) grouped them just fine and the Cheetah did as well.

I only had a problem with the Shrew.

God bless,Mudd

PS; Spine is 50-55 cedar.

And I thank you for it!

You did an excellent job of training too.

Maybe you should give consideration to starting a bow training center right there in Baxter.

I bet You could charge extra for those bows that are broke to hogs.
