Trying to foot cedar shafts with walnut and using a ace spine tester but so stiff it won't read any thing. the ace spine tester holds the arrow on one end and weight at feathers I have never seen or used one like this always have used spine tester that holds arrow at 28" at 2 points. Not sure where I am going wrong could use some in put  to doing foot shafts. Thanks Please PM if possible.

There must be some of you guys that have played with these. HELP PLEASE.

Fletcher

It has been a while since I used that model, but it worked pretty well.  I think the weight is supposed to hang on the needle arm where it sets on the shaft.  You should be able to measure the fletch end of the shaft, too.  It will likely be a lower spine than the walnut foot.

You might also check the Ace website: acearcherytackle.com.
