What's your opinion on them, do you recommend them and why, do you prefer glass backing or carbon when you choose foam.

Here are a couple of older threads that will give you a little more info....

Resin and glass micro beads or carbon nano tubes(Black Swans use the carbon). Very stable regardless of weather conditions(heat, cold, moisture, etc won't effect how the bow shoots). When the modulus is done properly it can be a durable material also, to low and it can be rather fragile, finding the right mix is where the "magic" comes. Properly made foam cores make for a very consistent shooting bow and also make it much simpler for a bowyer to consistently hit weight once they have their formulas down(can make for much less waste) as foam doesn't have the variance some natural materials used for cores can.

I have some Morrison carbon limbs with foam cores. Best limbs I have ever shot. They shoot faster than same weight limbs of different construction and are much lighter. I don't have a lot of experience with them but Bob Morrison sure does. Give him a call if you want solid answers from a bowyer.

I have and had some Morrison limbs, My current longbow carbon foam core are fantastic. I had at one time foam without carbon and I thought they were a bit weak, very soft tips. So in my unprofessional opinion, it seems to follow that the carbon adds significantly to the foam cores.

I just built one with foam core limbs and am very impressed with the smoothness of draw and speed. So far it is the best performing bow I have built but I want to spend a lot more time testing it out. I kind of went all out on it with double carbon and S glass over foam cores.
