With black glass limbs? Anyone shot one? Are they loud? Thanks for the help.!

I have 2 PSR's one is a takedown, the other is a one piece. Neither one is loud at all. Very quiet and smooth.

I have never seen a newer widow with colored glass on it however they used to sell bows that were painted with a black epoxy. The now called PSR was called a SBS (short black stick) if it was one of these painted ones. If I remember correctly, they painted the bows due to flaws in the wood appearance only and claimed they were sound shooters.

I have a PSR and I would not say it is loud BUT it does have a different sound to it than do other BWs I have. I assume it is due to the light mass and short limbs. It is very smooth to draw and does not have any hand shock but like I said it makes a different kind of noise.

For what it's worth, my PSR is 56" and I am drawing 56# @ 28.5".

I have the older version called the SAG Short Autmn Gray. It isn't any louder than my other bows. As for what you want just call and talk to Toby or Rodger. When I had my PLX TulipWood done I ask Toby if he could use all red glass in the riser instead of red and black. He said for a small fee he could do it. The red glass with the TulipWood turn out great. So give them a call and ask(they are great to deal with).

Awhile back a guy had one of the takedowns made with all phenolic.  I don't see why they couldn't do a one piece as well.  Give them a call...Mike
