Is zircote too brittle for limb veneers?

I've seen zircote risers, but has anyone seen zircote used on limbs?  I like the look of it, but one exotic wood website I looked at described zircote as a "little brittle" so I was wondering.

Blackhawk

I love it in risers, but would reserve judgment for it as limb veneers.  Most of what I have seen has been very dark (almost purple-black) and I just prefer more contrast and pattern on my limbs.  As to being brittle, not a clue, but bet a bowyer chimes in soon.

I would think you could use it as a veneer, because a veneer is just for looks.I've seen macasser ebony veneers on limbs.I love it is a riser, good looking heavy wood.It looks great in my RER Vortex riser.

Ive used it alot in knife handles and would think its pretty heavy even for just a veneer thickness,  although its very close to Bocote in many ways,  so I guess it could be used.   So there ive confused the issue even more.

Yep it can be used, I know I have seen a Zipper with zircote limb vaneers.

I have used it in a few bows that I made. No problems so far.

I use it regularly for limb veneers and is featured on the Schleyer model.  No issues.

Joe Bacote limb vanners look outstanding with a zercote riser and bacote accents . One of the best looking bows I have ever see was a Crow creek with Bacote limbs , Zercote riser with bacote accents .

I've used Ziricote for risers and limb veneers. Keep them under .020 It's getting hard to find.
