I made a set of uuuuuggly arrows awhile back when I was trying the small feather fad that was going around here awhile ago. So I wanted to change them up by putting on new fletching and wraps. I tried the steaming and they still came off very hard   :help:  I do say they came out good enough!

Hair dryer II
and if you use fletch tape you can just peel your old fletching off and flech right on the wrap again - unless you did not like the wrap.

Hair dryer III,
It will soften them enough to peel right off, once you get them started, they will pell off feathers and all. It still takes some patience though.

I use boiling water. Set them in and they will come right off.

I have always just held them under the hot water in the kitchen sink, let them warm up and they peel right off once you get them started.

Fletching stripper works great, just use a light touch when scraping the glue off.

Greg,

I use a zip strip as well and it works slick. Still need to clean the residue off with denatured alchohol.
