Right off the bat I gotta say I have been struggling to kill a porker. Only got one so far this year and thats well below Joebuck. Heck he killed two in one day..of course he`s shooting those fancy broadheads....

My buddy Chris Spikes and I went to Fort Stewart after some pork . I had already been a time or two and felt I had`m pegged..and I did. We got on an embarrasing number of pigs for two seasoned swampers not to kill one.We had a HUGE boar once probably at 10 yards or so and could`nt get a shot.Every honey hole We went to we got on pork and in killing distance but no meat.

Midday we checked a bottom we had never been to. On the map it looked really good. WE slipped in the swamp in the wind and started after`m.Did I mention it was 100 degrees. HOT. We have each been toting our video cameras in hopes of getting enough on film to make a Mr. Womack style pig hunting video.WE got LOTS of pig footage as well as gators and deer and most everthing else but no dead pigs. But we are persistent.

AS we got maybe a half mile in the swamp and I spotted some small pigs coming down a dry run of a creek. We got in position and they were within five yards but not big enough to shoot. We watched them a long time and did`nt see any big hogs and we figured they were orphans. I have a rule if they look to fast to catch they are big enough to shoot these were the latter. So I shucked off my gear and caught and released one. With our luck like it is...there were some big hogs about 75 yards away in a low run and they spooked. Here are a few pics hope you like`m.RC

I believe that is the anterior portion of the fuselage of a fixed-wing aircraft, or, in layman's terms: the tail of an airplane.

Lowrider

I thought it was, but I also thought he had a photo of a small bomb in some of his photos before. May have been someone else though.

Mudd

What a hoot! Great story and the same with the pictures.
Thanks for taking us along.

You may have better luck next time but I doubt you can enjoy yourself any more than it sounds like you already have.

God bless,Mudd

A fella told me once they were "drones" for target practice. I don`t know for sure but they are scattered all over the place over there.

Thanks for the comments fellas. I`ve had some really great hunts this year . I`ve had pork close more times than I want to say BUT...I`ve had times like this before then killed 6 in 4 days....RC

Just doesn't seem like a real RC story without a snake pic!

I thought it looked a little too small for an actual airplane tail section. I always love looking at the pictures you take. You are very fortunate to be able to hunt in such a beautiful place. I am from the Northwest part of Louisiana in the Piney Hills, not the lowlands. My son lives in Savannah and I have seen some of that terrain from the Interstate. Hope to find a place down there one day to take my bow and do some pig hunting, can't find ours right now, guess it is too hot for them on my property, not enough water.

Good stuff Robert, and good to hear that Chris was out and about with ya.

We need more hunters like you and him to hang around, and contribute their experiences with all of us to see/read, and learn from    :clapper:
