I have a  Schafer Silvertip 60" Walnut Dymondwood riser with Birdeye Maple limbs, fastfight..58@28 coming very shortly and need some help with some carbons and nock point suggestion. I would like to use Heritage 350's, but what length, and what size tip would get me close? If anyone has any other different arrow suggestions please let me know. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you were using Easton/Bemans, 340s would be the ticket.  Not sure how the CEs spine out.

The CE 350s spine .318 or there abouts.

I bet you would be able to shoot Beman MFX 500's 29 " throat to b.o.p. (assuming your draw is 28") with as much as 250 to 300 grains of inserts/points up front for a total weight of 550-600grains. Do not believe the spine charts has been my experience, Carbons are MUCH stiffer than they indicate.

RF,I think you can do good with the 250.But as you know start to work on your arrows as you get the bow,not before.It will take you few hours.

The 350's might work at about 29.5" to 30" with about 275 up front.

With my setups I use a 190 Grizzly, on a 100 steel adapter, and a 100 gr brass insert

I shoot a Blacktail recurve that is 55#@28" and it bareshafts CX 250's beautifully cut to 29.25" with 100gr brass insert and 125gr tips. So with the added 3# with your Silvertip I am sure you could shoot the 250's. I think the 350's would be a little stiff. You could make them work with more weight out front. Just depends on what you want as far as speed, point weight for hunting, tradgetory or arrow, etc.

Rich, With all that weight up front, you should be good to go with the 350's bud....you'll just have to work with the length.

You'll have no worry's. Schafers tune like a dream. I like AXIS 400's 29.5 with 175 up front. No need for that crazy tradjectory robbing nose wieght. That's plenty of FOC with a balance of speed. My thoughts any how. Good choise and good luck!!

I've been shooting a 57# @ 28" SilverTip the past few years with Beman ICS 250's 29 5/8", with 100 gr brass inserts and 175-200 grain points.  Should come out about 550 grains total.  Always worked well for me.

I shoot a 54#@28 tip.I can use 125gr to 200gr tips on a 30" .400 Easton powerflight according to my bareshaft testing.

I need a 30" 80-85 wood shaft with 145gr tip.

Also,30"2213 with 175gr,or 2216 with 200-225.

Obviously your results could vary but it's ball park.

i shoot a 58# @ 28" silvertip, non fast flight... i shoot gold tip traditionals at 31" with 100 grain brass inserts and 125 tips... with a crest wrap and three 5" feathers, i'm about 580 grains... they fly like darts!
