I hate growing old. I will be 50 in January, look 70 and feel 100 every morning when I wake up. Need some of them miracle pills them stars take to make them look and feel younger.

50 + 6 years, here. Not much has changed, just a little different outlook is all. What's that song "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once, as I ever was!"

My "crisis" consisted of buying a Mustang in '08. Friends and the experiance seem to take more priority over the kill, anymore. Still able to do, pretty much, what I want to. I just do it a little slower, now and enjoy it a lot more.

50 is good 60 is better cant wait for 65! The trees get a little taller and the hills a little bigger but just take your time.

I turned 61 last spring. When I was in my 50s, it irritated me that youngsters didn't show any respect. Now that I am in my 60s, I don't care if they do or don't. Smiley face inserted here. I too, as others have said, do the same things as I have always done, only slower and maybe not as much of it. Ya gotta keep moving. It's better to be seen than viewed.

At one time i was making more money than i ever thought i would and i was going on at least one paid hunt every fall.

After just going through a very costly divorce its going to be a couple of years before i can go on some of those hunts i have been dreaming about.

By the way im 42 yrs old and i have basically lost everything so my advice to you younger guys. Go on those hunts you dream about because the dream can turn into a nightmare before you even know what hit you.

Hang in there.  I never went on my first high elevation Colorado elk hunt until I was 53. Fred Bear once reminded me that virtually all of his most famous hunts occurred WELL AFTER he turned 50!!  I always remembered that!!!
