I am tired of wasting time clicking open an ad and seeing no pics. I don't want to have to spend the time asking for pics and doing the email thing. I am getting older and time is precious, so I just move on.

Besides, I just wanted to look.   :p

I gotta agree with the "just add pix to your threads" folks....a lot easier than having to send pix to everyone that asks.

I've sold two bows on Trad Gang during the 4 years I've been a member on here. In both instances, I included at least 4 photos of each bow in each ad. Both bows had a serious buyer in three days time. In fact, I just sold the second bow last week and it arrived with it's new owner yesterday. Like they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words".

Some folks know how to e-mail a picture but not how to post them.

It took me a while to figure it out but then again I ain't the sharpest stick in the pile, but maybe if I can learn, they can also?

It certainly would be nice but I'd rather have them post without them than not have them post at all.

MHO, that and a couple of bucks will get you a decent cup of coffee somewhere...lol

In my classified adds I always have one to six photos, and before you click on you know I have photos because I say  "w/photos" in the header. The browser does not have to wonder what that part of the bow or equipment looks like. Ken

Hot Hap

I've tried 3 or 4 times to join Photobucket and can't figure it out. Some people have a hard time with this stuff. So all I can say is "Put up with it". Sorry Hap

Night Wing

Hap,

You're making uploading photos from Photobucket and then displaying them in the TG messages more difficult than it is.

If you still have your Photobucket account, upload a photo from your computer that is no bigger than 600 pixels to your Photobucket album. When the photo shows up in your Photobucket album, hover your cursor over the photo. A little box pops up under the photo and it will list four codes under the photo. Just copy the "img" code. You do this my holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and then pressing the "C" key. That copies the code. You then type a message on TG and then to show the photo in the message, hold the Ctrl key down again and then press the "V" key. The code shows in the message. Hit the Preview button and the message shows up and it will also display the photo in the message. If you see the photo in the preview message, then hit the Add button and then your message with photo is on here for us to read and see. Of course, I'm assmuming you're running a Windows computer and not an Apple computer. Thing will be different on an Apple computer.

If you're running a Windows computer, just follow the directions I've posted earlier in this thread for your profile picture. I think it's a different code, but it's one of the four codes listed under the photo in your Photobucket album....if you have a Photobucket account. Left click on my user name above my avatar and you'll see my profile picture.

If these guys figured it out you can too!

WESTBROOK

It dont take much effort or time to learn and post pics in your add. 'Less your 'puters  a dog like mine.

You want someone to send ya $500 bucks for a bow, I wanna see it first!

Eric

Cyclic-Rivers

I love window shopping. If these bows were not works of art, you would have less people looking.  I always however tell the person I have no intention to buy just wanna see pics. If they send em great if not I usually forgot about it already.

Sometimes people will post them for you but you cannot complain about people who want to see them and not post pics.  If you dont want to waste time sending pics just say your camera is broken.
Relax,

You'll live longer!
