Question about Woodsman Sharpening Video....

Hey all,

I have watched the video posted on here about sharpening the Woodsman heads.  After he finishes with the file he goes to a stone with some oil.  After that he is taking hair from his arm pretty darn easy.

Now I can get my Woodsmans pretty sharp with a 6 inch file, but not that sharp.  I don't have or use a stone either.  So I would like to know what kind of stone would be best to use on the Woodsmans after you sharpen them with a file?

Thanks

A fine grit Norton will do the job just fine.

You can also use a piece of 600 grit emory cloth laid on a smooth/flat counter top or work bench. Drag the head backwards...the lighter the finishing strokes on the file are, the less work it will take on the emory cloth.
