So I keep hearing people making Flemish bow strings and I was wondering are there any other styles of bow stringing and its pro's and con's of that?

Rusty in Fla.

There is another style called endless. That's what most bows used to come with years ago.

Here are some previous threads that might help you Kevin.  If you use the search button..put in "strings" for search word(s)...highlight "pow wow" only and then hit search you will get several more.  Hope this helps.   :)

Two basic styles are endless and flemish.  Each has it's strong points, but get right down to it either one will work just fine when properly made.  Targets have been pinwheeled and critters have been killed time and again with both.

There are variations of these, and primitive ways of making strings from natural cordage, sinew, hide, etc. but when it comes to "modern" strings you have endless or flemish.  You can make either one from any of the gobs of different materials now available.
