Longbow Lizards!!

Just got off the phone with Capt. Chris Horsman, and we're headed to Florida in August for an alligator hunt!

Chris donated a hunt for two people on the St. Jude auction. Woody Blackwell (Knife River) and I couldn't believe our luck when we were the high bidders on the item. But you were all asleep at the switch on that one, and Woody and I are more excited than a couple of teenage boys on a boat full of women!

We'll first spend a night at his hog lease in N. Florida and see if we can get a little pork. Then on to the Kissimme River in central FL for nights hopefully filled with glowing red eyes staring back at us as we drift along the river. This is the land that Maurice Thompson made famous in the Witchery of Archery book.

What an experience this is going to be!

Congrats whip. My partner and I were making a run at the Lake Guntersville trip but you defienetly kicked our can there to. Hey, if the lizards get you, can we take your bowfishing spot?

You will definitely have a great time. I'll be down with some other TradGang members probably at the same time. We'll be hunting Okeechobee. Had a great time last two years with my kids. We took 5 gators at 7', 9'1", 10', 10', and 12'. Our youngest hunter this year will be the ripe old age of 9. We hope to tie him into a biggun!

The Kissimmee is full of gators so you should do great!
