I know they don't make these anymore but i am sure some of you have used them at one time.

I am wondering how you liked them? I have two new in the package that came with my grandfather's gear.

has anyone tried the Neet Pro Rest? It looks to be the same thing just a different shape back.

I am thinking of putting one of these on the bow but not sure if i want to use the Hoyt or get the Neet and keep the one my grandfather had.

Kyle... Being from the midwest and being an old friend of Earl Hoyt, I've used all the generations of the Flex Rest.

It's evolution is a direct result of the hard plastic vanes used in competition during the 60's.
They would often explode when they contacted the arrow plate during a bad release.

The soft rest and plate of the Flex Rest totally eliminated the problem of breaking vanes.

A side benefit of the Flex Rest is that it's a very forgiving rest which greatly simplified bow/arrow tuning.

They are a great rest and I'd just go ahead and use the Neet product. It seems to be more heavy duty and works just like the old plastic model.

Thanks Charlie.

I didn't really want to use the hoyt rest i want to keep as much of my grandfathers things in perfect condition. Also im sure the old plastic is probably starting to stiffen. I dont know when they were made but the rest of his archery gear was purchased in the 70s.

You can get one of these Hoyt Super Rest for less than $3.00. I use to use the Hoyt Pro Flex back in the old days and now use the Super...it's a good rest. I'm going to try the Hoyt Hunter Rest, it's a little beefier.

where do you get the super rest? and let me know what you think of the hunter when you try it. I have been doing most of my shopping at 3 rivers lately so i hadn't seen the new hoyt rests.
