I was looking for something to read so I pulled out my copy of Bowhunting Alaska's Wild Rivers the other day. I first read it in the eighties before Jay Massey got sick and was still taking people out. I really wanted to go but somehow never managed it. It is a fun read and makes me want to go to Alaska. Someday I will make it. In the mean time I'm glad for good authors that write books about it. I felt bad when he passed. Gary

Jay Massey was and always will be someone I admire, I read all his books at east once a year.

Jay was the real deal.  Met him at some of the early trad archery gatherings.  I hunted the Moose John when he was doing the outfitting for it nearly 20 years ago. I'll never forget the hunt or the man.

Orion, I envy your hunt. Someday if we ever meet up I would like to hear about it. Gary

I have posted this before but thought it was worth another look.  I have scanned the entire brochure if you guys want to see it.  I always wanted to go on one of his float hunts but never had the money.  I should have taken a loan.

I've bowhunted one or two of Alaska's wild rivers or more...

and lived to tell about it. Griz at 9 yards was it? I would need to change my shorts Steve!

Great momento Jack! Life is too stinkin' short.

Thanks Jack, That is pretty cool.

Steve, I've been following your hunts. What an adventure. Gary
