I tapered ,sanded ,sealed and stained a dozen cedar shafts last nite,but the mystery finish turned out to be a minwax product(yeah,I know,mark the cans...)

I'm not going to crown or crest but will fletch tite still work or do I have to use something else?

The sealer and stain are oil based,not sure what the Bohning products are.

Bohning products are laquer based.

For minwax poly you'll want to use Duco to fletch with.

So I may as well use minwax polyurethane for the finish coat too?

Duco works great with minwax!  I found it at my local Ace Hardware....

You can get Duco at Ace Hardware or most any other hardware store. I use Duco exclusively on wood arrows. I have found that it holds better than any other glue on wood.

Superglue also works well with Minwax polyurethane products. Get the thicker formulations, not the runny stuff. It doesn't work as well with gasket lacquer, but Duco does.

If you shoot 3D, avoid the polyurethane products because they melt a bit and stick firmly in the targets. Lacquers work much better for 3D animals.

You can get Duco at O'Reilly auto parts stores but it is $2 a tube. Family Dollar Stores usually have it for $1 a tube. Awesome product, I love it if I am not using fletch tape.

A friend of mine had alot of problems trying to fletch over minwax stain. Duco solved that.

varathane... works with fletch tite glue. had to carve the feather off. plus super hard and no arrow burn, oh ya i use the water base.

ive used minwax for yrs and had no problems with fletchtite at all even the platinumworks finebutthe old fletchtite is the best for tip-n-tail...polly, spare. no matter itdries faster than duco as well...but to each his own. i guess.  

Duco seems to slightly dissolve the finish and kind of welds the fletching to the finish. I've never had any problems with it...use it exclusively. I have used FletchTite on carbons with great success.
