Any suggestions or recommendations for cutting carbon arrows?  I just use a handsaw for my woodies.

Thanks!

Harbor Freight sells a little 30 dollar cut off saw that works great

Apex predator posted simple plans for using a dremel.

I altered it and copied it and in five mins setup time and about one min of work I had 15 newly cut shafts.

Also the best part of his plans were nothing is permanent so you don't have to sacrifice the dremel to make a saw you won't use but a few times a year.

Good luck

I use the Harbor freight tool also...did have to use a square to get it perfectly square.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Me too 30 bucks and works OK.

I've got to 3rd the Harbor Freight saw. It works great for doing my carbons.      I cut and made up these carbons using the Mini Cutoff saw.

Zbearclaw,

I read and like Apex Predator's idea and set-up.  I am considering trying his idea out.

A bowyer and friend of mine uses a bandsaw with a dull blade, but I do not own or plan on buying a bandsaw in the near future.

What is the Harbor Freight saw set-up?  Is that like a small miter saw or something?

Thanks!

Stone Knife

I just clamp my dremel tool to the bench and have a small nail to put the nock in. fasten  a 3/4 block of wood by the nock end and one by the tip end, swing it in slow it cuts em perfect.

It is a chop type saw like a miter saw.
