Hello,

I noticed a bad crack on my new Bear A riser.

Can it be repaired?

Has anybody had the same issue?

Thanks for your help.

I have two and haven't had that problem.  Looks like a fairly small separation. Drizzling some wood glue or epoxy in the crack will probably stop it from spreading.  Good luck.

P.S.  You might consider contacting Bear Archery.  They might fix it for you or replace the riser.

If its really a new one this would be my 1st choice by all means!

Definitely contact Bear.  Actionwood has a tendency to do that so I would not give them all the blame but they should replace it for you.

If they don't help check with Whip.

Fill the crack with a good superglue (Locktite 420 if available) and it won't ever be a problem.  That's relatively minor.

If it's still under warranty Bear will replace it, though they will probably take their sweet time about it.

I love bear takedowns....but I've had 2 current model A risers do that. Seen other owners with cracks at the same place also.

Thanks for your answers.

This problem was on the riser I bought new.

Then it occured 2 times more!

What must I do?

WindSpirit

or perhaps find an old A riser?
