Congrats!! Bob the driveway ready!!

Congratulations Bob!  My retirement date is the end of September, this year.  I'll be at Denton Hill with a big grin on my face thinking of my short-term employment.  I'm really looking forward to having the time to hunt this fall.

Do it right...make the most of it!

I am a well drilling contractor in the N.E part of the state, and I am at many households every year of people who are retired. Many of them do NOT do it right.

Enjoy...enjoy...enjoy. Everyday is NOT a given, and now that you have the time to do the things YOU want, there is not a moment to waste.

I hope that grin never stops.  :D

I retired about two years ago, and would not  changed a thing. I really enjoy being able to have the freedom to do whatever I want to.  I am fortunate I can shoot almost daily, and did last year.

Last year, I hunted more than I ever have and it was great. Two elk hunting trips, numerous deer hunts, pheasant and grouse hunting in between - it was just great.

One cautionary note: people will be more than happy to come up with all kinds of suggestions for you to occupy your time - if you let them. I am speaking from experience. Keep control of your time - as Bonebuster said - do the things that are important to you today. Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.

Congrats Bob, I have been retired for three years now and loving every minute. I will be at Compton this year also.  

Congrats! I just did the same thing a little over a week ago. I shoot some just about every day, but retirement seems kind of busy so far. I'm looking forward to this fall when I can hunt any day I want!

I don't think I'm going to make Compton, so grin some for me too!

All I can say is that I retire next year at the ripe old age of 53....I can't wait...I have so many things I want to do and I will have the time the money the health to do it.

Enjoy this time, but put it to good use....I mean that...write your BUCKET LIST....start knocking them off bud

Congrats!    I'll have been retired for 17 years next week.   First thing to learn is that there are no rules and you only schedule what you want to.    Best plan is no plan... get up each day and decide what you feel like doing.   Today i felt like starting another bow... so I did!
