I didn't want to hijack eddings220,s Tall Tines post so I thought I would open my own.

I almost gave up on getting a Tall Tines bow. When I initially placed my order we thought the lead time would be significantly shorter than what it turned out to be, and had I known what the actual time would have been, I might not have ordered one. I think I can honestly say that I am glad I thought it was going to be less, because I believe the wait has been well worth the outcome. If this thing shoots as good as it looks, and I think it will, I believe I've got a keeper for sure.

The bow is being shipped out tomorrow so I should have it in time for some serious weekend shooting.

Here are a few pictures Brian sent to sweeten the anticipation.

Whatcha' got there?  Macassar Ebony and Bocote?

I'm betting once you shoot it, you will forget all about a couple extra weeks on the list   :archer:

Very nice Louis!! I can honestly say they do shoot as good...if not better than they look!!
I'm getting ready to call Brian and have a riser built for my extra set of limbs...my limbs are bocote and that's an awesome combo you have there! Is the riser Macassar Ebony? May have found my new riser wood! Looking forward to your thoughts on how she performs.

Beautiful bow Louis.

Brian definitely has an eye for picking and matching wood combos.

Allen, thanks. How are you liking yours? I will have more about mine after this weekend.

SteveO, you are correct Macassar and Bocote.

Thanks Tom, I will let you know how it shoots later this weekend. Anxious for it to arrive.

That is a beautiful bow.  I can't wait to get mine!  It should be in the mail next week!!

Louis, mine had to go back to Brian. The riser got damaged by the post office. I should have it back next week.

I like the looks of the antler knobs!!Actually I like the whole bow, sweet!!!!

OK, the bow came today and after putting it together and tuning it I have done some shooting. Not as much as I want to but I will do some more this evening when it cools down some. It is presently about 103 outside.

After putting some cat whiskers on the string and serving on a knock I went out to shoot. I have found the bow to be exceptionally smooth, very forgiving, and puts my 29" 2115's with 250gr. up front down range with exceptional authority. The grip is perfect. I have other bows with really good grips but I consider the new Tall Tines to be the best. It is like it was form fitted to my hand. Just super!

I took more pictures so you can judge for yourself as to the aesthetics of the bow.

My original question was, was my significantly longer wait time worth it, and my answer is by all means yes! I don't think anyone felt any more sorry about the extended wait than Brian. The man builds a terrific bow and they have grown in popularity rapidly. My advise for those who are currently waiting is to be patient because the end results is well worth the wait.
