Has anyone had any experience with these shafts, good or bad? I need some shafts that are 5/16 and spined 50/55 and these fit that bill but are they as good as cedar?

Greetings SK!

I like the hexshafts better than cedar, but they would not be my first choice in a wood arrow.  My daughter has been reducing the ground squirrel population using some hexshaft arrows made by Tradganger Shortstroke and they are holding up pretty good coming out of her lower draw weight bow.

Right now I am enjoying Sitka Spruce and some Doug Fir.

I've have used them and still have a couple dozen unfinished. They are a very good shaft but I prefer the Superceders ( yellow poplar ) and Surewood shafts.
It really is just a personal thing with woodies.
I've tried ash, sitka spruce, and POC also.
They are all good depending on the source.
My experience from being such a terrible shot has shown that they all break. Some are just tougher than the others.
