So after some interesting weather and a long weekend i got my bear. We hunted thursday(very warm)but didnt see anything. Hunted friday,(a little cooler but still warm. I saw a little one year old bear but just could'nt shoot him. Saturday(Rain storm and had trees snapping all round)didn't see anything. I was back out again monday and had a nice tall and lanky bear come in that i got a good quarteing away shot on. I found him about 60 yards from where the arrow passed through him.
Took these pictures the day after, Rain again, dosent do the bear justice.
The bow is my latest project, bubinga veneers maple core and gray action wood handle, very simple. But a good shooter.

-just add effort.

That is cool. Specs on the bear are a must. My first trad kill was a black bear. Very nice bear & bow. Keep up the good work

The bear is great but I'm digging the bow. Beautiful work.

Awesome!  Love that you got it done with a bow that you made yourself.  Tell us a little more about it.
