It's Dacite. Too big for an arrow, more like an Atalatl point. I liked the shape so much I stopped while I was ahead.

Very nice work! Same shape as some I have found.

Nice head. I'd put that on an arrow. Big stone heads make for short blood trails!

How much does that weigh?
Very nice work BTW

Thanks guys. It is super sharp too. I'd love to put it through a deer or hog but I fear it may be too heavy, at 312.5 grains.

Very nice! Did you start with a blank or just the rock?

Ragnarok Forge

Nice head, I wish I had that skill level.

Skill is not born into anyone.  It is earned thru hard work and perseverance.

I used a blank or slab as I call them. I waste too much rock using a ... rock.

i wonder if you could just really over spine an arrow to get good flight out of that beast.  Or if you could somehow split a carbon or put a wooden insert inside of a carbon to attach the point too in order to use it.

Ssamac

REally nice job. I wish I could just knap the flints for my flintlock rifle!

Thank you. I think it would be an awesome atlatl point on an osage or hickory shaft.

Maybe it would work on an AVATAR arrow! LOL!  I just need an 8 foot bow to shoot it out of.  :)
