I dont hunt to live, I live to hunt... It's better to be the preditor than the prey

Killdeer

You've been alive long enough to know that!
You look in the bathroom mirror and your tongue is hanging out and there are little exes where your eyes oughta be.

Killdeer   "[dntthnk]"
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Do yourselves a favor and pick up a copy of the "National Audobon Society Field Guide to Mushrooms " Lots of color pics and the book is designed to cross check and triple check so that you know you are eating an edible mushroom.
I have harvested to Hen of the woods and chicken mushroom. (two different mushrooms) Good eating both. Looks and tastes a lot like breast meat of a chicken.
One thing to bear in mind on any mushroom. Mushrooms have absolutely no nutritional value. ie: you ingest a pound of mushrooms and you pass a pound of mushrooms.Eating in smaller quantities keeps from overloading your digestive system. Done it once, not good.
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;

Here's chicken of the woods in July in Wisconsin that I placed next to an Indian Pipe. Get'm fresh and eat the outer edges sauteed in butter, very flavorful but they get tough quickly.
