Hey guys...what are your opinions of the following strap-on quivers for a RECURVE. The "Kanati" cant slip strap on quiver, the "Great Northern" strap-on model, or the thunderhorn. I don't need glitz..just good' NO SLIP, function that will hold 3 or 4 arrows when hunting. I'm not crazy about the Selway clam-on style. I think the rubber strap-on versions are less influence on the limbs. Any pros or cons I should know about before I spend my hard earned dollars???.....Thanx in advance.....John

I have only used Great Northern's, cant speak for the other brands, but i never had mine slip and it is very quiet. You probably cant go wrong with any of them though.

The Thunderhorn Mini Boa gets my vote... When using any strap-on quiver, be sure to place 'em past the fade out of the limbs... Within the riser section, away from the working part of your limbs.

* Then again... If you are shooting a take down bow... This is another story... You'll want a quiver that attaches via the limb bolts.

Only strap-on quiver I've tried is the cheapest Thunderhorn Boa. It looks decent, and fits my TD recurve perfefctly, without slipping..
Also fits a friends Tomahawk Longbow good, but not my Toelke Whip.
Those Toelkes are slimmer limbed, but a bit thicker from belly to back..

I've used them all,including Eagles's Flite and Selways.  They're all good quivers. None "influence" the limbs if they're positioned correctly. Pretty much a matter of how many arrows you want to carry and what you like to look at.

I prefer my Thunderhorn Boa,I have had it for years.I like the way it feels on my bow,it feels like I get a better balance on the bow.JMO

I agree with that recommendation, but among the quivers that were mentioned in the original question, it would be the Kanati.

I also like the Eagles flight with the new system.......works great and has'nt slipped at all.....quality built and a good price.....and Don backs his stuff 110%......

I like the original plastic hooded Thunderhorn Boas. The newere ones are cool looking but seem a little pricey to me.

The straps are solid and quiet to take on and off in the stand or blind.

I gotta wonder how many guys have tried the Kanati cause it's the best one I've used by FAR! That said, I don't have a GN but have both the TH and the Kanati as well as many others in the past. I won't be looking for a new one.

I like the cheap Thunderhorn.  My 2 reasons, it does not slip and I can afford it.

I just installed a greatnorthern strap on my bow today an I was very impressed It is very quite an stays in place very well.when I find something that works wellI stay with it an I can tell ya I will be buying more of these in the furture.

I love my EFA Cherokeee. Can't wait to try it out this fall.

I've used the GN and the Kanati Pro. GN worked well but I love my Kanati Pro! It looks good and works good too.
