I have a Jack B Harrison, El Lobo 61@28. I was told to buy woodies 75-80 28 inches behind the point. My draw is 27 inches. I'm now am wanting to buy some carbons but I'm not sure what to buy. Im looking at the grizzlystiks. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I have a Harrison HSS 58#@28 and I draw 27" too,I shoot some Beman ICS Classic 400 .400 spine carbons with 200 grs. up front and AD Trads with 160 up front. They both fly great for me,carbons are pretty adjustable just start full length and trim and tune from there. Those are just a couple of suggestions.

Rushlush, that Harrison bow is junk.  The best thing you can do is box it up and send it to me for disposal.  OK..Ok...I'll give you $20 for it!!

Just kidding, Jack builds a great, great bow!!! Jack did also have an arrow building company that built wood shafts out of Sitka Spruce trees (very abundant here in Alaska).  I am betting that Jack would suggest shooting wooden arrows out of your bow, but it should be cut close enough to center that any properly spined carbon or aluminum will work.

I prefer would arrows out of my trad bows.  I am currently shooting compressed cedars which are tough and heavy.

I would suggest buying an arrow and testing it to see what the bow likes!!  But, I think 75-80# is too heavy.  You should only be pulling 58# at 27", so I would go with 65-70# spine.

Good luck, have fun....AkBillyBow

For carbon AD Trads.

For woods, 75/80 will be right in the ballpark, the el lobo I used to own was 60# @28 and loved both the AD Trads and 75/80 spine for woodies. Every Harrison I have ever owned shot the 75/80 perfectly.

Ive herd good things about grizzly sticks but ive never shot them before!

Grizzly Stik Alaskans,or Arrow Dynamic Trads will both work.  The Grizzly Stiks are a bit pricey.
