I have to say Thank You to Ron W.

He fixed an old 35# 76? Bear Kodiak Mag I had after my wife expressed interest in shooting archery with me.  Thank you Ron awesome gesture   :knothead:

Now I cannot shoot with my wife in public for fear of what would happen afterward   :wavey:

Thank you Ron, you made me and my wife happy.  You did a fine job making that old bow new again.

Skill is not born into anyone.  It is earned thru hard work and perseverance.

Charlie, just look to the future. You can send her out hunting to bring home the venison and you could stay in bed and not have to freeze. That Ron is a good old dude.

That's very cool. Nice job Ron!

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Charlie, I feel your pain my friend.....

Many years ago when my wife Lisa and I were first married, she wanted me to teach her to shoot a bow.Well,of course being young and dumb I told her "You can't shoot a bow your(upper body area)are too big,get caught in the bowstring and such"

Years later... Lisa,my 2 boys and I went to the White Mountain Traditional Bowhunters Rendezvous in N.H.  The boys and I had a BLAST!!! They both won trophys and Lisa was the photographer and took a ton of pictures. On the way home,we were talking about what a great time we had. I suggested to Lisa that maybe we get her a bow and get her shooting. Her response was..... "I wanted you to teach me years ago. You told me I couldn't shoot a bow because my (   ) were too big". Hmmmmm,  :knothead:    :help:

I called Ed Mikuta and got him to build Lisa a custom bow without her having a clue. When he called to tell me it was finished,I told her not to make plans for the weekend. We were going on "Lisa's Great Adventure" We drove up to Rome,N.Y. and met Ed at his house. Lisa loved the bow and Ed said "lets go try it out!!!" We set up about 10 yards from the target and Lisa asked "Why are we so close???" We moved back to 20 yards and Lisa put every arrow into the bag target, the 2nd round she had a nice group in the center. Back to 30 yards she put them all in the bag and after that, every round in a nice group.....

She's been shooting circles around me ever since LOL!!!!!

Have Fun Charlie!!!!! It doesn't get any better My Friend!!!!!

Great Job Ron!!!!! You make us all proud!!!!!  :notworthy:
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!

Well It seems instead of me teaching her to shoot, she'll be giving me pointers.

Of course the only reason I post this is because There were 5 witnesses other than myself so therefore I figured I would be up front and hit the media before Ron.

Izz, I'm not so sure about the hunting thing since she tried hunting once. She even shot a squirrel once. "ONCE"!.  It's nice to think about though.

One time she was in my tree stand with me and begged me to shoot the only deer I saw that day, a spike which walked right under us.  Sometimes I wish I gave in and shot.
Relax,

You'll live longer!
