I'd like to get a top notch scale... I've had a couple of inexpensive models over the years but they eventually gave up the ghost..

Anyone have a reccomendation for a good one ?

imho, the only one worth buying is the easton digital scale - superior to everything out there right now.  not cheap, though - $160! - if you hunt around you should be able to find it for less, about $140/shipped.

for me, no other bow scale can compare, the rest are all mickey mouse junk because none are reliably accurate (mechanical analog) or aren't at all durable (the cheap digital ones), and i've used a gaggle of 'em over the decades.

I've been happy using my $35 Rapala digital fish scale. I can't see myself going thru 4-5 of them.

i'd been using a cheaper one out of archery catalog, for selfbows.checked it recently and it's registering 5 pounds too light.
