Are these the same shafts? They appear to be the same, and the Beemans sell for about $15 less.

both great shafts. I think the beemans are a bit more grns per in. The camo axis weigh more than the blacks. I'm shooting the black axis 500's full lenghth with 200gn pt. weigh right around 500gns. both are good shafts. Give John Dill a call for more specifics. I know he hunted with the beemans this past year, but kicked my butt yesterday with the axis. LOL later Don

They are both made by Easton now,they use the same componets,nocks & inserts.The Beman have a slightly higher gpi and I like the Classic woodgrain in the Bemans.I have both and they both perform fine.

I have both ,i like the Eastons better both are great shafts Speed an penetration are great

i agree with all the above  statements. If you want a slightly heavier shaft I'de go with the Bemans. They are, in fact, a bit less expensive than the Axis but I cannot tell any difference in shooting.

It seems to me (and this could be entirely in my head) that the MFX's are a little lighter spined than the FMJ's. I shoot a mix of them in 400 and 340 for a variety of bows/weights. They seem to fly a little different out of each bow.

Like I said, it could be all in the noggin. It would not be the first time...

How much fletch and helical can you get on these shafts?

I put as much helical as my LW Bitz puts on I just like my feather to lay good on them,and it does just fine.They are skinny but not that skinny,I had to fletch straight on some 1514 youth arrows,those are a lot skinnier.

I also can put a decent amount of helical on mine. I recently had problems with the Axis arrows cracking where the point connects during a 3d shoot. My friend with FMJ's didn't and we shot roughly the same. As they are about the same weight as the camo Axis I think I'll give them a try.

All good info guys! I don't have any problem with 5" feathers and a good bit of helical on mine. I may just finish out the summer with my FMJ's before I order any mew ones.

I shoot 340 black Axis out of a 60# Morrison ILF with 300 gr. Terminators up front. I've also shot the Beman MFXs with the same setup which run a little heavier in grs.

I have the Beeman MFX (600 out of 46-48 pound recurves, 75 grain brass insert with 100 grain broadhead).  I love them. However, the woodgrain finish wears off pretty good when your groups are too tight -- produces rough spots. I shot Axis out of compounds for a couple of years and didn't notice this rub affect.  Both are SUPER tough shafts!  I'd buy MFX again.

I found the MFX Classics to be spined a little stiffer than the AXIS Nano's..  Don't know about Full metal Jackets...
