so I shoot a 50 # recurve, maybe a little less at my draw length.
I used to shoot 2117's but last time i went in to buy a dozen, all he had where the 2216's so i just bought those because i needed to shoot.. he recomended that I add some weight to the field tip so i went from a 125 gr to a 175 gr (and my hunting broadhead is 160 as opposed to a 100 gr i used to use) does it sound like these are tuned to my bow alright? I got the comment that the 2216s may be a little too stiff and now Im not sure, that would make sense to me.. Im shooting fine with them and will continue to use them, but in the future should i hold out for an easton with a little less spine?

thanks!
I'd rather hold a recurve than shoot a compound

I would think they would be to stiff, I shoot them out of my ff 60lb recurve with 175 gr heads,I would think a 2016 or 2018 would be closer for ya. kinda depending on length, mine are 28 1/4"

I think they are too stiff and even the 2117 is on the stiff side for a 50# recurve unless you have a 30+ draw length. How do they shoot bare? I would go with a 2016 or a 2018.

Gunnar Mullins

they are 29 inch. Hmm we have a traditional archery shop in town and he said that these are in the range for my bow specifications.. (he is known to make some mistakes tho so im not surprised) What about 2113's? I first started with those a few years ago and i thought those were way to0 flexible.. are they too stiff as well?

I would second the 2018's or 2016's ... I have several 50 to 55# bows and 2018's shoot out of all of them

I'd just put on the biggest broadhead you have and see how that shoots. If you have some Magnus I's try them. They tend to plane a little. I like them for tuning. Gary
