What is your set-up. Type of bow, wt, draw length, arrows?

how do the arrows fly with blades?this is how you know if they r right. that is as long as you have good form and release,consistant draw .otherwise you may be chaseing your tail.

I would buy "Masters of the Barebow", volume 1 and 2.  You'll save yourself a lot of time and headache, and learn everything there is to know about it.

Most likely, you are overspined. Real quick way to tell: If you are right handed, shoot one of your shafts bare(no feathers) from about 15 yds into your target. If the nock end goes right at impact, you are too stiff in spine. You will need to use a heavier point to weaken it into the "sweet spot" for you. If the nock end goes left, you are weak in spine requiring a lighter point. Of course you are looking to have a shaft that impacts straight(there is variation of opinion on this) into the target. That's a very brief description, but it will tell you whats going on. Hope this helps.

You prob needed to start with full length shafts. Extra arrow doesn't hurt a thing as long as it is tuned. That or you can really push the scale and try a 300-400 gr. point.

But this could also be from issues with your form. Get together with the man who offered to help you out above, and he'll be able to help you figure this out. Folks here are great that way.

I would say that the shafts are close. Gold Tip has a new trad shaft, 1535, that is lighter spine than the 3555.
The only way to know for sure is to bare shaft tune,  I will help you do that if you get this way.

Hey Daniel according to Stu Miller's Dynamic Spine Chart assuming you actually draw 27" with GT 3555 @29" with  150 gr tip, you are about 6 lbs over spined with the arrow, if you are only actually drawing lets say 26" it would be about 10lbs different. Your arrow should be around 30" long to match the spine of your bow setup. Look up this Chart on the web, you will be amazed at how accurate it is.  Claudio

My preference is paper tuning.  It works great for me and seems easier to do and understand than bareshafting.
